Travel issues persist at Cincinnati airport during government shutdown
CVG-area travelers face multi-day ordeals with flight cancellations and delays as the government shutdown disrupts air travel nationwide.
As of 10 p.m. ET on Sunday, more than 10,000 flights within, into, or out of the United States had been delayed, according to FlightAware.
The word "canceled" is becoming increasingly common on the screens showing arrivals and departures at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG).
Only two flights have been canceled so far at McGhee Tyson on Nov. 7. Knoxville, so far, has avoided the brunt of the government shutdown impacts on airports. Unlike other Tennessee airports, like Nashville International Airport, long security lines and delays have been minimal.
What should you do if your flight is canceled? Here are the current cancellation policies for airlines flying in and out of CVG.
