Vice President JD Vance is defending the federal government's investigation into former national security adviser John Bolton, as Democrats slam the FBI's search of his home last Friday as a politically targeted attack. But Vance also made it clear he couldn't say what Bolton might have done.

The FBI conducted a court-authorized search at John Bolton’s home as part of a national security investigation into whether he disclosed classified information in his 2020 book, according to two people familiar with the matter.

John Bolton served as Trump’s national security advisor during part of his first term, but has since become a vocal critic of the president.
