Police said a second gunshot victim was taken to the hospital in a personal vehicle, but it was unclear if that person was on the bus.

The crash happened shortly after 2:30 p.m. as a Route 54 bus was traveling on McGowen Street on the overpass for State Highway 288. Investigators believe the bus was struck from behind by another vehicle, causing it to leave the bridge and partially roll over.

A former METRO bus driver appeared in court Monday after being arrested for stabbing a passenger during a fight on the bus last week.
