Jurors found Nicholas Rossi​, 38, guilty of rape after a three-day trial in which his accuser and her parents each took the stand.

Nicholas Rossi was sentenced to a potential life sentence after faking death to evade rape charges and fleeing to Scotland.

Those who know Nicholas Rossi told me it was a story concocted by a man they described as “a tornado who tore lives upside down”. I first met Rossi outside court in February 2022, weeks after his arrest in a Glasgow hospital where he had been a Covid patient.

A judge in Utah said that statements from women indicated that Nicholas Rossi, 38, was a “serial abuser of women.” He faces sentencing in another rape case next month.
