Vanderbilt basketball nearly blew a 19-point lead, but held on to win, 77-72, on Saturday at Memorial Gymnasium. The Commodores got off to an excellent start in the first half, building up a lead as many as 19 points.

The Vanderbilt Commodores claimed their third ranked victory of the season on Saturday, adding No. 24 Ole Miss to the resume along with No. 6 Tennessee and No. 9 Kentucky. The 'Dores got all three wins at home as head coach Mark Byington and his program is restoring Memorial Gymnasium as a house of horrors for the opposition.

Ole Miss men’s basketball (19-8, 8-6 SEC) fell on the road at Vanderbilt 77-72, Saturday at Memorial Gymnasium. The Commodores (18-9, 6-8 SEC) were led by Chris Manon with 16 points. Ole Miss forward Malik Dia led all scorers with 22 points on 8-of-12 shooting.
