Apple's top executive in charge of artificial intelligence models, Ruoming Pang, is leaving the company for Meta Platforms , Bloomberg News reported on Monday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.

Apple Inc.’s top executive in charge of artificial intelligence models is leaving for Meta Platforms Inc., another setback in the iPhone maker’s struggling AI efforts.

Apple is dealing with some internal changes in its AI team after one of its top AI executives, Ruoming Pang, left the company to join Meta. Meta offered Pang a very high-paying job, reportedly worth tens of millions of dollars a year, according to Bloomberg.
