After more than a year on the market, the Buck Owens family has opted to shutter the famous venue on Buck Owens Boulevard.

In 1996, Owens opened the Crystal Palace, an all-in-one restaurant, concert venue and museum of the star's life, located at 2800 Buck Owens Blvd.

Buck Owens, a pioneer in California's honky-tonk country music scene who gained considerable celebrity as co-host of TV's "Hee-Haw," died Saturday at his home in Bakersfield. He was 76.
