Work began last week to rehabilitate a log cabin built in 1850 in what is now the Buffalo National River park.

Buffalo National River is now under a temporary fire ban due to the ongoing drought conditions, which have resulted in extreme wild land fire danger.

The Buffalo National River is increasing the fees at five of its campgrounds in north Arkansas.
