There were two confirmed tornadoes amid a flurry of warnings as storms moved through eastern South Dakota during the afternoon and evening of July 28.

A confirmed tornado northwest of Watertown late July 27 caused "significant damage" to a farmstead, a NWS meteorologist told the Argus Leader.

Reports of downed trees and other storm damage came into the NWS office after Thursday's storms moved through parts of Northern Michigan.

The National Weather Service's Wilmington office confirmed a tornado in Northridge after a preliminary storm survey in the Springfield area today.
