WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - A limited recreational flounder fishing season has been authorized in North Carolina for select dates in September, according to the N.C. Marine Fisheries Commission.
Southern flounder are a popular North Carolina fish. For the first time, North Carolina's commercial and recreational fishing industries are set to split the southern flounder catch 50-50 this year.
