Embiid celebrated a bit too hard in the eyes of the NBA in Friday's 109-108 loss to the Boston Celtics. The league announced that they will fine the big fella $50,000 for what they called a "lewd gesture" made in the first quarter of the contest.

After a 2024 campaign plagued by injuries, Philadelphia 76ers superstar Joel Embiid has made a full recovery. While he’s still ramping up and getting back into basketball shape, his return has been a welcome boost for a 76ers team loaded with talent in a wide-open Eastern Conference.

In his debut game, Embiid raised concern with limited movement on the court. He ended the game with only four points, six rebounds, and two assists in 20 minutes.
