Pullen Park, just west of downtown, has been closed since December 2009 for a $6 million overhaul. Ashlei Folsom, of Cary, had hoped to show off the Raleigh landmark to her two sons Saturday.
The Holiday Express will take over Pullen Park from Dec. 4 to Dec. 8 and Dec. 11 to Dec. 15 and feature holiday lights and displays, train rides, carousel rides, visits with Santa and more.
To cut down on wait time to get tickets for the rides at Pullen Park, you can now buy them in advance and online. Tickets are $1.50 each for the train, kiddie boats and carousel.
Note that while the Pullen Park Carousel will be open, it and the LuminoCity Dino Ride will require additional tickets. General admission tickets are $25 for those over the age of 12.
It was all aboard on the train at Pullen Park once again. Raleigh Parks recently opened it and other amusement rides at the park as North Carolina moved into Phase 3 of the ‘Safer At Home’ plan.
