Pullen Park's Holiday Express tickets sold out at 2 p.m. Wednesday, hours after an apparent glitch left customers stuck in a virtual line.

Right about now, Pullen Park would be busy with kids and families, riding the train and carousel, playing on the playground and lounging on the grass with picnics on these gorgeous spring days.

The carousel will reopen Friday, Feb. 8. The train closed this week and will be closed through Feb. 28. The city completes detailed daily inspections and maintenance, Costello said.

Pullen Park's popular Holiday Express is returning this year with tickets going on sale Wednesday, Oct. 4. The event is always a hot ticket for families. Last year, tickets sold out within 90 minutes.
