One person was killed on Monday night when the driver of a pickup truck left Route 12 and struck a pedestrian before hitting a guardrail and a telephone pole.

State police say a pedestrian was pronounced deceased on scene after being struck by a vehicle on Route 12 Monday evening.

The town Department of Public Works is working to fix a water main leak on County Route 12. Officials said the repairs may shut down water services as they make repairs.
