In a pivotal offseason for the Boston Celtics, the first domino to fall was the departure of Jrue Holiday. On Monday, Boston officially traded Holiday to the Portland Trail Blazers for Anfernee Simons.

The Celtics agreed to move forward with the deal without the 2030 and 2031 second-round picks that Portland originally agreed to include.
