As many as 200,000 fans converge on the LSU campus near Tiger Stadium for tailgating on football game days in Baton Rouge.

Texas A&M and LSU have played highly competitive games in recent years, kicked off by a historic seven-overtime matchup in 2018. The home team has won each of the past eight matchups, including a 38-23 win by Texas A&M against LSU last season at Kyle Field. Marcel Reed came off the bench and scored three touchdowns in a come-from-behind victory.

The LSU Tigers reportedly could make a coaching change amid the rumors swirling around head coach Brian Kelly.

South Carolina beat the Kentucky Wildcats 35-13 on Sept. 27 while covering as a 5.5-point favorite as the Over (47) hit. The Gamecocks forced 4 turnovers and held the Wildcats to just 5-of-15 on third and fourth downs while also picking up 341 total yards and committing no turnovers. The win ended a steak of back-to-back losses for the Gamecocks.

Texas A&M QB Marcel Reed called his first experience at Tiger Stadium “a little underwhelming,” during his freshman season in 2023. Two seasons later, he’s hoping to get the real experience under the bright lights in Baton Rouge during Week 9.
