No. 10 Vanderbilt beat No. 15 Missouri in what was a very entertaining, yet strange game. Both defenses dominated the first half with the score being knotted up a 3-3 at the halftime break. It was certainly not what anyone was expecting,
Freshman Matt Zollers got his first taste of being the guy for Mizzou, going 14-for-23 for 138 yards despite entering late in the game. The Tigers ended the game on the 1-yard line, inches away from a game-tying score.
When Diego Pavia took the podium after Vanderbilt football's win over Missouri, his message was clear. "The only reason I'm up here is because I play quarterback for the team," the Commodores quarterback said.
