MONDAY, JANUARY 11, 2010 - Horses sit lined up and labeled while a crew disassembles the historic carousel at Faust Park piece by piece to replace the original main bearing.

The St. Louis Carousel, located in Faust Park, was built in the 1920s and is considered to be one of the oldest carousels in North America.

In 1987, the restored carousel finally found a permanent home: its own climate-controlled facility on the grounds of Faust Park in Chesterfield.
