Baby found abandoned on train platform at New York Penn Station

A baby was found alone, abandoned on a train platform in the middle of Manhattan on Monday morning. Police said the baby was discovered before 10 a.m. on the southbound platform of the 34th Street-Penn Station stop of the 1/2/3 line. The baby was conscious and alert, police said, but was taken to Bellevue Hospital to be evaluated.
