High-flying Sunderland collected another impressive point in their Premier League return, drawing Everton 1-1 at the Stadium of Light on Monday.

Most fans will point to Granit Xhaka as the star of the show for Sunderland, and rightly so. The skipper scored his first goal for his new club to fire them level early in the second half, and was dominant in the middle of the park from there on.

The clash was Everton boss David Moyes' first visit to the Stadium of Light since he oversaw the Wearsiders' relegation from the Premier League in 2017 and his current side took the lead when Iliman Ndiaye struck after 15 minutes with his fourth league goal of the campaign.
