Women's college basketball AP Top 25: Baylor and USC enter top 10, UConn remains in top spot
The first week of the women's college basketball season has officially wrapped up and now we have our first AP Top 25 of the regular season. While the top six teams remained the same, with reigning national champion UConn on top, there was movement elsewhere.
The final No. 1 seed of the NCAA women's soccer tournament bracket goes to Virginia, the third team from the ACC to earn the feat. The Cavaliers will take on Big South champion High Point in Charlottesville, Virginia for their opening match of the NCAA tournament.
Oklahoma opened its season against Belmont, winning 84-67. Star center Raegan Beers was virtually unstoppable, scoring 29 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Sahara Williams had a double-double as well with 11 points and 14 boards, while freshman Aaliyah Chavez impressed in her collegiate debut with 16 points, six rebounds, and five assists.
