Travelers continue to deal with flight cancellations and delays at Newark Airport on Nov. 10 as the 4th day of FAA-mandated flight reductions

Images showed a long line of planes waiting to take off from Newark Liberty International on Sunday, where there were delays of more than four hours.

Since the videos were shared, Newark airport has been closed along with a number of other airports, according to the FAA.

The ongoing cancellations come as Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy warns air traffic could "slow to a trickle" as Thanksgiving approaches.

Passengers at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey can expect flights to be delayed by an average of 40 minutes, the FAA said.

Officials there said a staffing shortage was to blame for delays Sunday of up to three hours and a ground stoppage.

Aside from the mandatory flight cancellations, there was also a runway construction project at Newark Liberty Airport over the weekend that added to the delays.
