The patent absurdity of LSU trying to writhe its way out of paying Brian Kelly what it owes him
Your Honor, We are called here today due to a dispute between LSU and its former football coach, Brian Kelly. At stake is a $54 million buyout, which is the amount owed to Mr. Kelly based on his contract if the school decided he didn't win enough football games.
Before he arrived at LSU, Kelly, 64, had restored the shine to Notre Dame football after years of decline. He was a driving force behind modernizing the program and making it a consistent national contender for the first time since Lou Holtz in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Kalen DeBoer and the Alabama Crimson Tide got huge news on the recruiting front ahead of the game against the LSU Tigers.
