Another thing to watch will be the chance that a lightning strike could start a fire in the driest, most vulnerable areas. Areas north and east of Houston are in a level 1 risk of severe weather. Isolated small hail and strong winds are possible with storms in these areas.

Sunday will feature much nicer weather across Southeast Texas with low humidity, sunshine, and breezy conditions.

A more active weather pattern has favored areas north of Texas this week, bringing an array of fall-like... or winter-like conditions.

FINALLY! It's taken a very long time, but North Texas will finally fall into the 50s overnight. This is the first time all season and a record, too. It's never taken DFW this long to have a low temperature below 60. The afternoon looks amazing, too. Highs will only be in the middle 70s with lots of sunshine. Enjoy!
