Sitting at 2-6, the Browns are in the midst of another lost season - it is in their best interest to move on from some veterans via trade as the deadline fast approaches.

Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Tommy Rees will be calling plays, beginning with Sunday's game at the New York Jets. Coach Kevin Stefanski made the announcement on Monday as the Browns (2-6) resumed practices following their bye week.

Despite his accomplishments in college, Sanders began this season as the Browns' third-string quarterback behind veteran Joe Flacco and fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel. Gabriel took over as the starter for Flacco in Week 5, then Flacco was traded to the Cincinnati Bengals. Sanders then moved up to the backup.

Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson will have to wait at least another week before being cleared to practice. Watson continues to work his way back from a twice-ruptured Achilles. He suffered the initial injury in October of last year and experienced a setback in January that required a second surgery.
