Much like last season, David Pastrnak and Morgan Geekie have carried the Bruins’ offense. Pastrnak’s 15 points rank near the top of the league, and Geekie’s already up to eight goals, including six in his last five games.
After scoring five unanswered goals to beat the Islanders on Tuesday, the Bruins will hope to build on (some parts) of that performance tonight against the Sabres. One area they won’t want to replicate is Tuesday’s start, which saw the Bruins spot New York a 2-0 lead before answering with three goals in the second. Joonas Korpisalo stopped 33 of 35 shots to get the win and will be back in net tonight, coach Marco Sturm announced after this morning’s skate.

Miles Wood scored twice, with his second goal coming 2:53 into overtime, to rally the Columbus Blue Jackets to a 4-3 win over the Buffalo Sabres
Seeing Rosen putting up offensive numbers like these early on is certainly encouraging. If the young forward keeps having this kind of success, one has to wonder if it could lead to him getting a call-up to the Sabres' roster soon. Time will tell what happens on that front, but it is very clear that the promising prospect is feeling it right now.
