The extreme heat is returning to Massachusetts and the National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory because of how hot it will feel through Monday.

TV Weather Team is highlighting Tuesday as a NEXT Weather Alert day in Massachusetts. This alert is for a combination of heat and humidity as well as a threat for scattered storms fueled by the remnants of Tropical Storm Chantal in the Boston area.
The NWS Raleigh NC issued a heat advisory at 1:57 a.m. on Tuesday valid between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. for Richmond County.
On Monday at 12:55 p.m. a heat advisory was released by the National Weather Service valid for Tuesday between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. for Lower Columbia Basin of Oregon and Foothills of the Northern Blue Mountains of Oregon.
Extreme heat is forecast to blanket the metro area from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with hot and humid conditions feeling like 100 degrees. That has triggered a heat advisory from the National Weather Service, which also issued a flood watch for the region from 2 p.m. Tuesday to 2 a.m. Wednesday, as storms are expected to move in.
