Federal authorities have started taking agitators into custody in Minneapolis, Minnesota, after Renee Nicole Good was shot and killed by an ICE agent there on Wednesday. The Trump administration said she used her car to try to run over federal officers during an immigration enforcement operation.

Minnesota's U.S. senators, Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith, have sent a joint letter to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi urging her Department of Justice to include the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension into the FBI's investigation of the killing of Renee Good.

A day after an ICE agent killed a woman in south Minneapolis, federal and state officials are clashing over what happened as the FBI takes control of the investigation.

In September, in the Chicago area, an ICE agent fatally shot a man during a traffic stop. His family called for justice and local police said the FBI had been investigating the death. Since arriving in Minneapolis in early December, ICE officers and agents have arrested roughly 1,400 people, McLaughlin previously said.
