Jonquel Jones and Sabrina Ionescu have double-doubles, Liberty snap streak of losses to Lynx 85-75
Jonquel Jones had 22 points and 10 rebounds, Sabrina Ionescu added 17 points and 11 assists, and the New York Liberty beat the Minnesota Lynx 85-75 after losing the first three meetings between the teams this season.
The Minnesota Lynx (28-5) visit the New York Liberty (21-13) on Tuesday at Barclays Center in a WNBA clash with major playoff seeding on the line.
Breanna Stewart, the Liberty’s past MVP winner, and Napheesa Collier, the Lynx’s future MVP winner, again were sidelined due to injuries.
Thus ends the series of Finals rematches between the Liberty and Lynx, who played to a five-game thriller last fall in what became New York's first postseason championship run.
