Outfielder Jackson Merrill has been placed on the San Diego Padres’ 10-day injured list as he recovers from a sprained left ankle.

The San Diego Padres have been without Jackson Merrill thanks to a nagging lower body issue, and gave the star some time to fully recover.

The San Diego Padres announced Saturday evening they placed outfielder Jackson Merrill on the injured list, according to MLB.com's AJ Cassevell. Merrill is on the 10-day IL and will be eligible to return on August 30 against the Minnesota Twins.
