On July 22, NBC announced that 29th season of the singing competition show will include a new format and be called “The Voice: Battle of Champions,” according to NBC Insider. For the first time ever, “The Voice” will only include three coaches — and see the return of show alums. It will also introduce new challenges and voting rules.
Returning for another stint in the turning chairs, Niall Horan is excited to return to The Voice, but the One Direction star has also expressed a bit of regret. In a recent video shared on The Voice 's official Instagram account, Horan joined fellow Season 28 coach Michael Bublé to reveal some trepidation.
Mark your calendars: The Voice returns with a two-hour Blind Auditions episode on Monday, September 22 at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock. Beginning on September 22, new episodes of The Voice Season 28 will air Monday and Tuesday nights at 8/7c on NBC.
