We use standard mark-recapture methods and radio telemetry to monitor and research Florida box turtles (Terrapene bauri), the southernmost box turtle subspecies in the U.S. 🐢 By placing a small transmitter on a turtle’s shell, which does not harm them, we can pinpoint its location and track its movements over time.
