Remembering Sister Clara Muhammad, wife of The Honorable Elijah Muhammad, on this day on her Birth Anniversary. They married in 1917. Mother of eight of his children, she was affectionately known as, "The First Lady of The Nation of Islam." She was credited with being the first Principal in helping to establish, "The University of Islam." During the transitional years after Messenger Elijah Muhammad's departure in 1975, the schools were renamed, "The Sister Clara Muhammad Schools." For more info
